Oval basket setting template

This is a template for making an oval basket setting without a forming block. It includes templates for multiple stone sizes. The stones' length and width are based on standard calibrated measurements (see this chart from IGS). The height of the stone is calculated as 62% of the width, which is standard for an oval faceted gemstone. Make sure to measure your stone's height and compare it against the values in the template. The setting must cover the culet of the stone.
